After the November Herding Trial, we discovered that I was struggling to put together a full trial run, as I haven’t been training for that particular skill. We need to get the cows to fetch up the middle, then drive them down to the fence to the y chute, around the back of the course, and into the take pen.
I took Fiddle, Mazikeen, Chunky, and Rory together to practice all of our cattle movement and fundamentals together. We are improving, but we still have a lot of work together to keep the cows together as a group, and to get them around the pen.
