Nationals – Chunky

Chunky (aka Azula) also had a marvelous first ACDCA National Specialty.

She was originally the alternate on our Team Rally team, but when Mazikeen came into season, she stepped up and hit a 97 and helped her awesome team finish 2nd out of 8 total teams!

She wasn’t shown in conformation, but stepped back in to the herding arena.

These cattle were amazing, and really showed us what we were made of, so little miss Chunky really tried to overcompensate to be extra helpful (which turned out wasn’t so helpful).

She did manage to pick up her first leg of her Started Cattle title with a 5th place finish (out of 14, I think), and was able to showcase some of her strengths and training holes.

However, I was just so thrilled at her effort in sheep. These sheep were awesome markers of where our training progress was! They were light, and little miss overcompensate was very keen, fast and bouncy trying to keep them to me. She did, however, and managed to pick up 2 started sheep Qs with two 4th place finished. Which was no light feat, as the qualification rate was right around 20%.

Back to the drawing board!

Proud of you Chunky (CH Clarjos Standing Inside the Fire HSAs RN)
