Herding at Claires

It was time for Turkey! I love visiting my friend Claire. Because large flocks of Turkey don’t really forgive anything. If you flank too far, they split. You have to maintain a constant pressure and sense of group to keep everything together. They are an amazing test of where you are. I have two videos attached here of dogs at different levels, with Fiddle, being more advanced and able to fetch and hold pressure a bit easier than Chunky, who still pushes really hard and splits the flock a lot more.

Rory and Ukulele did a lot of work in the corner.

Mazikeen did a lot of fetching and driving of the turkey flock, it was hard for her to push away from me and keep the group together. She went from not pushing hard enough, to pushing a bit too hard to split them. It did improve over time though.

Sue had Claire help him understand how to get out and keep the group together. I was very pleased with him, for a baby dog.

Brie was working rate and balance on sheep.
