We did a quick turnaround to go up to Maine for another Jan clinic. This group had been inviting me up for years, and this is the first time that I could take them up on it. The weather was TERRIBLE, like 40 degrees and raining, so we moved to an inside setup in Searsport! This was the finest setup I have been in for introductory work in my young dogs. I worked Sue and Rory on Friday, and then worked Rory for the balance of the clinic. It was pretty much perfect for me, and we got to do like, 12 turns in a day, which is ideal for me to break down the exercises and learning, and build the confidence. She did wonderful, aside from getting a bit weirded out by the corner pen with solid walls.
I am documenting the overall barn layout, for like, future envy.
