The first weekend in June, I decided to hang out with my bestie, Anya, at a David Henry clinic. I brought Mazikeen and Rory with me. They were running a colt breaking clinic in the arena, so we used a small indoor facility. This group of sheep didn’t really understand what driving was, so Mazikeen had her hands full, trying to get them together and to go where they didn’t want to be. She also got to practice pushing and sorting at the gate, which went well. But then we had to gather sheep into the building that most definitely needed a HARD push. She was willing to oblige! Rory worked on getting to balance, and started to setup the drive off of me. It was hard to learn about him as a clinician, as a majority of students were beginners.
But, at the end of the day, we had a huge BBQ, and watched a Rodear herding demonstration, and some insane colt breaking! Was a great time!
