Herding at Claires

Whenever I get to North Carolina, I make it a point to work turkey with my friend Claire! Especially in large flocks. If the dogs push too hard, the flock will split, and if they don’t push hard enough, they don’t go! They really need to work rate, sense of group, and holding their lines!

We brought the red gang out to Berryville, VA to work on Advanced level work with Fiddle and Mazikeen, Intermediate sheep and cattle work with Chunky, and Started Duck work with Rory and Sue! It was the most wonderful, nice day, that this person, writing this post in August is longing for!
