Our last event of the year, the Blue Ridge Herding Trial, was a LOT of fun! Warren took Brie out and got a leg of his PT and Mazikeen and I tried our hand at Advanced Sheep. We wound up qualifying once with a 2nd place finish! She also finished her Started B duck title … More Blue Ridge Herding New Years Trial
Right after the holidays, Fiddle and I went to the Mount Vernon Kennel club to try and finish our Rally Advanced title and Beginner Novice title! She was super awesome in Beginner Novice, winning her class, with a score of 197! And she was slightly distracted to finish her title, but we did it! Fiddle … More Mount Vernon Obedience Trial
It was time for Turkey! I love visiting my friend Claire. Because large flocks of Turkey don’t really forgive anything. If you flank too far, they split. You have to maintain a constant pressure and sense of group to keep everything together. They are an amazing test of where you are. I have two videos … More Herding at Claires
On the way to family Christmas in North Carolina, the entire gang stopped down at the Isle of Calais in Smithfield, and spent a lot of time with Auntie Terri and friends. This was not our weekend for conformation, which is ok! We again decided to compete in obedience, rally, and conformation in Allentown, PA, and also did 5 days worth of Conformation. Rally Mazikeen finished her RE in Oaks, and we were unsuccessful in Masters (mostly me), but, this judge was really tough… Chunky finished her … More Star of Bethlehem Cluster
This was an insane cluster! Mazikeen and Rory both got to strut some stuff in the ring, and we did a LOT of obedience and rally. Mazikeen finished the weekend with an Owner Handled Group placement (3, from Patti Neale), her Beginner Novice title, her Rally Advanced and Excellent titles. I couldn’t be more proud … More Winter Blast at Oaks, PA

Another two day show in West Friendship, and we didn’t really get any points at all, as we took Select both days. Her and I have a lot of work left to do to really get in sync in the show ring. She tries really hard for me, but we haven’t gotten on the same … More Post Thanksgiving West Friendship
Another weekend with Chunky at the West Friendship show. She’s a bit harder to show because she has legs compared to our competition, but I really do like her balance, when she is cooperating and trying not to murder me with her antics and shenanagins. Another Champion defeat, and we are now up to 13 … More Catoctin Kennel Club West Friendship – Pre Thanksgiving
