I learned something working Chunky at this clinic…
1) I pushed a bit too fast to get her into the big arena
2) She is super good at arguing with me with a smile on her face.
Ok, point 2 doesn’t exactly describe it quite right… BUT, we were struggling to roll shoulders out and commit to going down the fence to pick up stock. She still is crossing over on the away side as well. With Chunky, I moved to a smaller pen, and worked just bringing the cows on balance to me.
Then we were able to start to build out the triangles, giving up the cows and moving cleanly behind them., once we got through a lot of these uncertainties.
